Pierre Asselin, a franco-Albertan, was born and raised in Edmonton. He is actively involved in his local community as well as professional and national organizations. He serves as a trusted advisor to a broad range of clients including individuals, small and medium sized businesses, professionals and associations in Alberta and other provinces since 2005. 

Pierre has earned a strong reputation for his expertise in navigating difficult and complex legal matters. He has extensive experience in family law, civil and commercial litigation, estate and real estate law. Pierre is recognized as an adept and assertive advocate with a proven track record of achieving favourable outcomes. Notably, he has successfully argued cases that have resulted in precedent setting legal decisions.

Pierre has appeared at all levels of the Court of Alberta, numerous administrative tribunals, and the Federal Courts of Canada. He guides his clients and represents their interests through legal processes and proceedings in English or French.

CHRISTIAN E. VILLENEUVE

BA, LLB

Christian Villeneuve has extensive experience in the areas of Aboriginal and constitutional law, having worked on significant Aboriginal title and rights claims in Alberta and British Columbia.

Christian provides strategic legal advice and representation to First Nations on matters related to Aboriginal rights, governance, taxation and economic development. He also advises on the negotiation of land claims agreements with various levels of government.

In addition, Christian provides civil litigation representation in the areas of business law, family law (parenting, support and division of matrimonial property) and administrative law. He also regularly provides advice to individuals and businesses on corporate matters, commercial and real estate transactions and the drafting of wills and other estate documents.

Christian uses a dynamic approach to the resolution of legal issues, and understands that the right outcome will vary based on each client’s objectives. Christian will negotiate a fair resolution where possible, use alternative dispute resolution processes when appropriate, and pursue matters in court where necessary.
