Pierre G. Asselin, B.A., J.D

Pierre has an extensive litigation focus with particular experience in the areas of dependency and capacity claims, shareholder oppression, breach of contract , negligence and breach of duty of good faith. He has a strong background of successfully representing his clients’ interests and has appeared at all levels of federal court, in Alberta courts and in administrative tribunals.

He serves as a trusted advisor to a broad range of clients including individuals, small businesses, professionals, community organizations, governments and Aboriginal bands.

In addition to his litigation practice, Pierre’s services include???…. Mention Alternative Dispute Resolution processes including mediation and negotiation????

He is a member of the Civil Litigation and Family Law sections of the Canadian Bar Association ???, the Law Society of Alberta and the Edmonton Bar Association. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2005.

Pierre is fluent in both English and French. He is a member of the French-speaking members of the Canadian Bar Associaton and of the Association des Juristes d’Expression Francaise de l’Alberta (AJEFA).

Outside of practicing law, Pierre has been and is involved in our community. He serves as the Vice-Chair of the Northern Alberta Mental Health Review Board .He continues to volunteer as president of his children’s school parent advisory committees and as a coach for both youth soccer and baseball teams. He was recently elected to the executive committee of the Association Canadienne Francaise de l’Alberta (ACFA)
